This policy explains what personal data SMED Holdings LLC (“we”) collects on smedholdings.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website only. Our apps have their own privacy policies.
Who is responsible
SMED Holdings LLC, a US limited liability company, is responsible for the data described here. Contact: contact@smedholdings.com.
What we collect
We only collect data when you send the contact form:
- the name, e-mail address, company (optional), subject and message that you type in;
- the language of the page you used;
- the date and time of sending;
- a one-way, salted hash of your IP address (not the address itself) and your browser’s user-agent string, to limit abuse;
- your consent, given by ticking the box on the form.
Simply visiting the website does not create any record on our side. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Why we use it
We use the form data only to read and answer your message and to keep a record of our exchange. The IP hash is used only to limit the number of messages sent from one connection. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by writing to contact@smedholdings.com. We do not sell, rent or share your data for marketing, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
Where it is stored and who processes it
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website and stores form submissions in a Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare may process this data in the United States and other countries where it operates.
- A notification of each message, with its content, is e-mailed to our company mailbox, which is hosted by Google (Gmail). Our replies are sent from that mailbox.
- Cloudflare Turnstile protects the form against spam. To tell people from bots, Cloudflare processes technical signals such as your IP address, browser user-agent and TLS fingerprint. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum.
- Like any website host, Cloudflare keeps short-lived technical logs to run and secure the service.
- If you write to us on WhatsApp, the WhatsApp button only opens a chat; the site loads nothing from WhatsApp. Your messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) under its own privacy policy, and we use them only to answer you.
How long we keep it
Form submissions in our database are deleted automatically 24 months after they were sent. Notification e-mails and our correspondence are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and are deleted on request. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies and does not use local storage. The Turnstile check on the contact page is provided by Cloudflare under the terms linked above and is used only for security.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to contact@smedholdings.com. We will answer within 30 days. We follow the principles of Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, as well as other data protection laws that apply to you. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact your data protection authority; in Morocco, this is the CNDP (cndp.ma).
Security
The website is served only over HTTPS. Access to stored submissions is limited to the company’s account holders. We never store your IP address in clear text.
Children
This website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above. See also our terms of use and legal notice.
